Grants for New Episcopal Communities

The application period for New Episcopal Community Grants is currently closed.

Below are some resources that may help you think about preparing an application for future rounds of funding.

What kind of ministries are eligible?

There are many new, creative leaders and visions that are worthy of support and funding.  These grants are particularly intended to fund ministries that fit the definition of a New Episcopal Community.

The Episcopal Church also continues to prioritize establishing new communities “especially committed to mission and evangelism engaging people historically underserved and/or under-represented by the Church, for example, people of color, immigrants and refugees, youth, young adults, people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (LGBTQI+), gender non-conforming people, people living in poverty, people with disabilities and/or all others who are disenfranchised from the Church.”  (See Resolution A095 from the 2022 General Convention)
