On Thursday, May 24, Thursdays at 2, a favorite and popular feature produced by the Office of Communications, presents the video UTO: Health and Wellness Center in Daly City, CA (Diocese of California).
 
The video chronicles a visit to the Health and Wellness Center at Holy Child and Saint Martin Episcopal Church in Daly City, CA.  UTO awarded a grant for the congregation to add an elevator, increasing access to the lower level of the church, to expand their Wellness Center. The Center offers free healthcare resources, help with navigating healthcare processes, exercise class, and food for community members. Dr. Ron Mitchell, founder of the Wellness Center, along with Malissa Mitchell and Carmen Vadad, share more about how the elevator has impacted their ministry. Bishop Marc Andrus of the Diocese of California also talks about why this ministry is so important in Daly City.
 
 The United Thank Offering is a gratitude ministry of the Episcopal Church to support innovative mission and ministry in the whole Church. Known worldwide as UTO, the United Thank Offering awards grants for new projects and programs that address innovative approaches to ministries within their communities that meet the stated focus for the year.
